This product was made with no plans as often I do. It's simple enough, but elegant with a timberish old west feel and made from Douglas fur pine. The raised letters on the top of this box were burned with chemicals and a heat gun. The raised letters themselves were cut out with a CNC machine. The engraving on the bottom of this box was also done by CNC. The dark stain is MINWAX COGNAC. This box was fully sealed with 4 thick coats of dewaxed Shellac, then several coats of clear coat sprayed all over the outside. Then the hinges and latches were carefully attached. The dimensions of this particular box are roughly 10 inches deep by 22 inches wide and 2 and 3/4 inches tall. With dark stained and burned raised lettering on the top (usually a name) and an engraved message on the bottom hinged and latched. Also this particular box has somewhat thin walls a little too thin for my comfort so my next boxes will have thicker walls or sides than this box has.
